Visibility
Subsea work is mostly done in low visibility conditions. Only in shallow waters, during daytime and with clear water can one expect good visibility. Normally though, darkness is ever present at normal depth for many oilfields. In addition, particles in the water from marine life and subsea contruction work is a normal source for impeded visibility.
